So Delicious: New, Healthier Almondmilk Blends & Coconut Yogurt
I was recently sent So Delicious‘ latest dairy-free almondmilk & almondmilk blends to try because they have a new look and healthier formula – 5 grams of sugar or less and carrageenan-free (and as always, they’re also non-GMO and certified vegan). For those of y’all wondering what’s up with carrageenan – some peeps like to steer clear of this seaweed-derived emulsifier because it’s been known to cause digestive problems. I personally haven’t had any issues with this ingredient, but I’m happy to avoid it whenever I can.
The Almondmilk blends are available in four flavors: Vanilla, Unsweetened, Walnut and Coconut, and they are dee-lish (and noticeably chill on the sweet factor, which I’m all about right now). My current fave flavors are vanilla and walnut.
Can we just take a sec to bask in the #blessedness of being vegan in 2016 with so many non-dairy options? Pickins are definitely not slim when it comes to alternatives to bovine mammary secretions (whoops, did I just say it like it is?). We have almond, soy, cashew, coconut, walnut, hemp, oat, and rice milk… and I’m sure I’m leaving out a bunch more! It’s a fantastic time to be vegan, y’all!
Btw, I’m diggin’ the new, sleek packaging of these tasty-ass beverages. Thumbs way up.
So Delicious also revamped their coconutmilk yogurt recipe, too. They’re also free of carrageenan as well as soy, gluten and nuts, and they’re made with organic coconuts (which are crazy hard to find!). They come in the following flavors: Strawberry, Blueberry, Vanilla, Chocolate, Plain, Strawberry Banana and Passionate Mango. I’m not a huge yogurt person in general because they remind me SO much of dairy (that’s prolly a good problem, right?), but my mini me is all about ’em! Dylan’s been eating these every morning for breakfast and is lovin’ all the flavors, especially Chocolate and Strawberry Banana.
